Same here, Wickenburg AZ is really a nice place. I have visited there once. The Box Canyon Hassayampa River is really awesome! I’ve heard that Hassayampa River originates in the Bradshaw Mountains and flows, mostly underground, through Wickenburg, Arizona.

HI,
I SO ENJOY THIS SITE. MY PARENTS, MARY AND HENRY FRICK OWNED THE OLD FRICK'S INDIAN STORE DURING THE 50'S, 60'S, 70'S AND PART OF THE 80'S....I READ ABOVE A LETTER FROM MICHAEL HERNAN THAT RANG A BELL. MY BROTHER MARK FRICK MUST HAVE BEEN VERY CLOSE TO HIM IN AGE, BECAUSE OSWALD MILLER WAS A FRIEND OF HIS IN HIGH SCHOOL. AS I RE-READ I SEE THAT HE WASN'T THERE IN HS...OH WELL, LEAST THEY DID SHARE THE SAME FRIEND, JUST AT DIFFERENT TIMES IN THEIR LIVES. ALSO, THE LETTER FROM JERRY BANGE STIRRED MEMORIES. HIS MOTHER, LUCY WAS A GOOD FRIEND OF MY MOTHERS, MARY FRICK...THEY RODE TOGETHER IN LAS DAMAS. I TOO REMEMBER RIDING WITH HER. I ESPECIALLY REMEMBER HER FROM HIGH SCHOOL...SHE WAS MAC MCCLENNAN'S (SP) SECRETARY..I WENT TO HER WITH LOTS OF MY PROBLEMS, SINCE I KNEW HER THRU MY PARENTS. SHE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MEMORIES OF HIGH SCHOOL. WHEN I GOT MARRIED TO BILLY PHELPS SHE WAS THERE AND I EVEN REMEMBER HER GIFT. SHE GAVE US A CAKE KNIFE WITH A PEARL HANDLE WHICH TWO OF OUR THREE KIDS HAVE USED AT THEIR WEDDINGS...I HAVE MANY OLD PHOTOS OF LAS DAMAS RIDES WHEN LUCY AND MY MOTHER WERE SO YOUNG SETTING UP THEIR COTS FOR THE NIGHT. AND WASHING IN STEAMS OR BASINS..I WAS A MEMBER OF LAS DAMAS FOR MANY MANY YEARS, BUT WAS NOT AS MUCH FUN AFTER MY MOTHER PASSED. I SPENT MY CHILDHOOD SITTING ON THE FENCE AT THE REMUDA RANCH WATCHING THOSE BRAVE AMAZING WOMAN RIDE OFF ON THE FIRST DAY FRESH AND SPARKLING AND THEN MY DAD WOULD LET ME CUT SCHOOL AND WE WOULD HEAD OUT FOR BREAKFAST. I COULD HARDLY WAIT TO BE OLD ENOUGH TO BE A LAS DAMAS...FINALLY WAS, AND IT WAS AWESOME. ON FRIDAY THEY WOULD RIDE BACK INTO TOWN SUN BURNED AND CRUSTED WITH DIRT. AND ALL THEY WANTED WAS A SHOWER AND SHAMPOO...MOM USUALLY BROUGHT 3 OR 4 OF THE OUT OF TOWNERS, LIKE RUTH STEVENSEN HARNESS AND NORMA GILMORE. I COULD HARDLY WAIT. THEY HONORED ME BY TRUSTING ME WITH SETTING AND COMBING OUT THEIR HAIR AFTER THEY HAD CLEANED UP. THAT WAS AN AMAZING TIME IN MY LIFE. HOW EXCITING FOR A SMALL TOWN GIRL. WICKENBURG IS STILL IN ME, AND MAYBE ONE DAY I WILL GET BACK THERE TO FINISH UP MY LIFE. I AM IN QUEEN CREEK ARIZONA NOW. BEEN HERE FOR 10 YEARS. AFTER HIGH SCHOOL, CAME TO TEMPE TO ATTEND ASU, THEN MARRIED AND LIVED IN TEMPE FOR AROUND 33 YEARS. I WOULD LOVE HEARING FROM FOLKS WHO HAVE LIVED THERE. HOPE SOME THAT I KNEW FROM 1950 TO 1965 WHEN I GRADUATED FROM WHS. LOVE THIS SITE. IT KEEPS ME FROM GETTING MY CHORES DONE. LOL...........SUSI

I think Wickenburg, AZ is a great place. With the museum and the ol' jail tree, it can show you so much about it's history just at a glance. I've lived here 9 years already and I keep learning more and more about it everyday! Go Wickenburg!
P.S. Everyone should try to help out around Wickenburg in any way they can, make a differance!
