My companion and I have visited Wickenburg together for four winters now. It is a long trip from Maine, but in our opinion Arizona is far superior to other winter hot spots such as Florida and Texas. We specifically love the small-town, western feel of Wickenburg.
The first winter was hot and dry and we stayed in town in a nice, cozy apartment owned by a friend. The next season (cooler, but dry) found us at the Rancho Casitas Guest Ranch, where we enjoyed a quaint apartment with a gorgeous view, great neighbors, and lots of hospitality. That summer, …

Have you been to the library lately?
Wickenburg is extremely fortunate to have a great library right in town. Centrally located between Town Hall and the Community Center, the library has a good selection of books for adults and kids and a whole lot more.

As the owner of several small businesses, I have spent my share of marketing dollars on an often overlooked advertising tool: signs. I’ve learned that a professional looking sign is an effective way to promote a business or communicate a message. About a year after I moved into town, my significant other, Mike, and I took Mike’s mother to the local museum. It was our first visit to the museum and in all honesty, we weren’t expecting much. After all, it doesn’t look like much from the street and Wickenburg’s downtown area has more “Not a Retail Outlet” office space than tourist attractions. But desperate for something easy to do with a 70+ year old woman and not willing to take a drive to Scottsdale for shopping (like she wanted), we figured we’d give it a try.
