While doing some photography for a new book about aerial photography soon to be released by Flying M Productions, I had the opportunity to circle Vulture Peak in Flying M Air’s helicopter at a variety of altitudes, right around sunset. What many people don’t realize is that Vulture Peak is more than a single rocky outcropping rising more than a thousand feet off the desert floor. It’s part of a volcanic rock formation. From different angles, it has a completely different appearance. Circling the peak from the air is the only way to see all of its faces.
